Description

This spring, Kentuckians For The Commonwealth will host a series of community dinner conversations – called A Seat At The Table – designed to bring together diverse people to think about and help build a bright energy future for Kentucky.

A Seat at the Table events will be held in each of Kentucky’s six congressional districts in April and May. During these engaging events, participants will enjoy a locally sourced meal, consider their relationship with energy, and share their vision and ideas about Kentucky’s energy future. Each event will feature fun and interactive presentations, cultural performances, and informational displays.

A Seat At The Table provides a chance for all Kentuckians to help shape a just transition to a clean energy economy – one that is good for all of us.

The ideas shared at these events will inform KFTC’s efforts to write a people’s plan, called the Empower Kentucky plan, describing ways Kentucky can grow jobs, improve health, and address racial and economic inequality while also addressing climate change.

These events are free, but seating is limited and tickets must be reserved in advance. Free tickets will be available through EmpowerKentucky.org starting on the first of April (for April events) and on the first of May (for May events). Each event will take place from 6 to 9 pm local time according to the following schedule:

April 14: Bowling Green, Corsair Distillery

April 19: Hindman, Hindman Settlement School

April 21: Lexington, Northeast Christian Church

April 26: Covington, Life Learning Center

May 24: Louisville, First Unitarian Church

May 26: Paducah, River Discovery Center
